Residents in Portland, Oregon are confused and concerned about the announcement of the Evergreen Airlines Inc. They have notified the public and the staff that they employ they are laying off approximately 131 workers. This announcement began rumors on whether or not the airlines were shutting down operation. In fact, they are not shutting down, but in order to stay operational they are required to let some staffing go. They hope to pick up profit and raise the numbers in order to bring the workers back.
